Continuing Legal Education Program
The Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Committee is responsible for providing educational and informational programs to paralegals in the DC metro area. NCAPA’s CLE Program presents multiple courses annually, in addition to its semi-annual Education Conference. The program offers some of the country’s best cite-checking courses, in addition to providing a variety of courses tailored to the paralegal profession. NCAPA's CLE Committee strives to offer continuing education courses that provide the practical knowledge needed to perform your job with greater skill and effectiveness. In addition, these courses afford opportunities to network and gain insights from your peers.
Although the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia do not require paralegals to complete continuing legal education courses, NCAPA encourages its members to complete at least six hours of CLE credits per year, including at least one hour of CLE credits in ethics. The majority of the courses are designed to meet the CLE standards of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA).
