Getting Involved

The stability and strength that has sustained NCAPA for 36 years is possible in large part to the generosity of its members. Members willing to contribute their time and skills are the heart of this organization and the driving force behind its continued success. All members are encouraged to get involved and take advantage of NCAPA's wonderful volunteer opportunities, so the organization can continue to serve its membership at the highest level.

There are many opportunities for you to give back to your professional association starting from volunteering in a leadership position to donating your time to one of NCAPA's many events throughout the year. In addition, NCAPA is offering wonderful opportunities to its membership to volunteer with exciting pro bono causes.

Leadership Opportunities

An organization is only as strong as its leaders. NCAPA is looking for members to serve in a variety of leadership roles. This is your opportunity to gain invaluable leadership experience and provide your leadership skills to your professional organization. If you are a member of NCAPA in good standing and interested in serving in a leadership role, here is a list of some of the open leadership positions:

Non-Leadership Opportunities

NCAPA is always looking for members to volunteer assistance with its many exciting activities throughout the year as well as to provide assistance in other support roles. This is an excellent opportunity to show your pride in your organization and profession by becoming more involved and providing invaluable service at the same time. If you are a member of NCAPA in good standing and interested in volunteering your time with the organization, here is a list of current opportunities:

Pro Bono

NCAPA members are encouraged to participate in Pro Bono work and other volunteer opportunites in the Washington Metropolitan area. Any NCAPA member who dedicates 24 hours or more a year towards volunteer legal services is recognized by both NCAPA and NFPA.

Fundraising

NCAPA is a not-for-profit association dependent upon membership dues, sponsorships, and general fundraising in order to provide services and benefits to its members.
